Everything that you have said is correct, I have only one objection: by necessity, history makes more exclusions than it does inclusions, and if certain stories are 'left out' it does not mean that they did not occur or that they were unimportant, it just means the story that we do tell tends to be made up of prime movers.

Also, you're right to point out that there are great women. When I use the expression 'Great Men', it is a figure of speech like 'mankind', which includes both men and women. I should have made that clearer.
